The Moon in Depth

This is the fastest moving of the planets, taking less than two and a half days to travel through one sign and 28 days to complete the Zodiac. The Moon causes the tidal motions of the seas and marks out the ebb and flow of daily life. It represents the transitional aspect of life; symbolising its flowing, receptive, feminine nature.

The moon is associated with a person's emotional make-up, unconscious habits, moods and memories, and their ability to react and adapt to those around them. It is also associated with the mother, the urge to nurture, the need for security, the home, and the past, especially childhood and early experiences.

The Moon is central to our imagination and unconscious life, but too much lunar influence can make us irrational, moody and clingy.
