North Node
Also known as the Ascending Node or Caput Draconis (Latin for Dragon's Head).
The zodiacal point at which a planet crosses the ecliptic from south to north. The ascending node indicates karmic potentials and lessons in this life.
It is usually considered somewhat benefic, and is the opposite of the Cauda Draconis (Dragon's Tail), the South Node, which is considered malefic.
