Imum Coeli (IC)

Also known as the Nadir.

The lowest point below the horizon in the chart where the ecliptic crosses the local meridian, which is always exactly opposite the Midheaven (MC) or Zenith. It is generally the same as the cusp of the 4th house and is a very personal point in a chart.
