Creating Birth Charts
In the past, the sheer number of complex calculations involved in drawing up a birth chart deterred many people from pursuing an interest in astrology. However, the arrival of calculators began to speed the process up, and now home computer programs can create birth charts in just a few minutes.
However, although the process is now much easier, the practicalities of calculating and constructing a birthchart are much simpler than actually putting all the information together to create an accurate interpretation. Although anyone can learn to create a birth chart, not everyone has the potential to interpret it in its entirety.
The materials needed to manually calculate the birth chart are: an Ephemeris, a means of obtaining longitudes and latitudes, Tables of Houses for Northern and Southern Latitudesand a birth chart form. You can view/download a birthchart template in pdf format here.
